Handover planned around your operation

What it is designed to achieve

Clean the profile. Measure the change.

Contamination can reduce the measured slip performance of a textured safety floor even when the surface appears clean. Specialist cleaning clears embedded residues; testing can then provide evidence to support your wider slip-risk assessment.

Measured improvement

Restorative cleaning removes contamination from the floor profile and can improve measured slip performance.

Pre- and post-treatment data

Optional pendulum testing records PTV results under the agreed wet and dry test conditions.

Controlled access

Wet rooms and kitchens are treated in agreed windows or phases around care, service and production.

Corrective options

Where cleaning alone is insufficient, we can assess appropriate surface treatment or coating options.

When to consider this service

Signs the floor needs a closer assessment.

  • Textured flooring remains marked after routine cleaning
  • Residues are building up in the floor profile
  • You need measured evidence before and after treatment

Floors and environments covered

Compatible commercial safety flooring in healthcare, care, education, hospitality and other higher-risk areas.

Operational and curing considerations

Timing depends on floor condition, preparation, area size, drying or curing requirements and the access available. These are confirmed in the written proposal before work is agreed.

We work while you’re closed

Delivered out of hours, as standard.

Most contractors expect your business to work around them. We work around you. Here’s what a typical overnight programme looks like — from the moment you lock up to the moment you open on restored floors.

  1. 17:30

    Your business closes

Staff and customers head home. Your premises are handed over under agreed access protocols.

  2. 18:00

    Zest arrives

Our technicians arrive on site with everything needed — no deliveries, no daytime setup.

  3. Overnight

    Professional restoration

The full restoration is completed while the building is empty. No noise complaints, no closed-off areas.

  4. 05:30

    Final inspection

Every area is checked, dried and signed off against the agreed specification.

  5. 08:00

    You open on restored floors

Doors open at the agreed handover time, to a floor that looks new. Your team simply arrives to the result.

Access, security and keyholding protocols are agreed before any work begins. Weekend and closure-period programmes are available where an overnight window isn’t enough.

How it works

Four steps. Minimal disruption.

From first phone call to sign-off, the process is designed around your operating hours — not ours.

  1. 01

Send photos or arrange an assessment

Start with whichever is easier. You do not need to identify the floor or treatment first.

  2. 02

    Receive an honest recommendation

We explain the condition, suitable options and whether restoration or replacement is the better decision.

  3. 03

Agree the proposal and access plan

The scope, fixed price for the agreed work, timing, access and handover requirements are confirmed in writing.

  4. 04

    Complete and document handover

Work is inspected at the agreed handover point, with records and practical aftercare recommendations supplied.

Questions, answered

What facilities teams ask us.

If your question isn’t covered, the assessment is the fastest way to a straight answer — free and without obligation.

Why can safety flooring lose slip performance?

Soap residue, body fats, grease and soil can fill the textured profile that routine mopping does not fully reach. Slip potential also depends on contamination, footwear, cleaning, use and the wider environment.

Can you verify the improvement after treatment?

Yes. Where appropriate, we can conduct pendulum testing before and after treatment, providing documented PTV results under the agreed test conditions.

Do you work around care home and hospital routines?

Always. Work is scheduled with your team around night routines, and we follow your infection-control and access requirements throughout.

How often should safety flooring be deep cleaned?

High-use wet rooms and kitchens typically need specialist cleaning every 3–6 months. We’ll recommend a schedule based on use and, where testing is included, on measured results.
