Controlled phased handovers
We know your building
This is their home. We work like guests.
A care home never empties — so contractors who need a clear building are contractors you can’t use. We work in agreed phases through the quietest hours, coordinate with night staff, and treat noise, odour and access with the same seriousness as the floor itself.
Resident-first scheduling
Phased overnight work agreed with your night team — routines, sleep and dignity undisturbed.
Slip safety, evidenced
Safety flooring restored and pendulum tested, with documentation for CQC inspection files.
Infection-control ready
Low-odour, hygiene-appropriate methods, plus Virobac antimicrobial protection where specified.
Fast-return cleaning
Low-moisture carpet systems keep corridors and lounges walkable — no cordoned-off routes.
We work around your operation
Restored in phases, around the clock.
Care homes never close, so we work the way night staff do: quietly, in phases, around the people who live there. One area at a time, agreed with your team, handed back before the next begins.
-
Step 01
Agree the lowest-impact window
Planned with your team around shifts, routines and care or clinical activity — never imposed on them.
-
Step 02
Isolate and prepare one area
A single agreed zone is sectioned off, with circulation routes and access maintained around it.
-
Step 03
Restore in controlled phases
Quiet, low-odour methods suited to an occupied building, one zone at a time.
-
Step 04
Inspect, document and hand back
Each area is checked, dried and signed back into service before we move on.
-
Step 05
Move to the next agreed area
The programme repeats until the whole floor plan is complete — without the building ever stopping.
Access, security and keyholding protocols are agreed before any work begins. Weekend and closure-period programmes are available where an overnight window isn’t enough.

Questions, answered
What care managers ask us.
If your question isn’t covered, the assessment is the fastest way to a straight answer — free and without obligation.
How do you avoid disturbing residents at night?
Work is phased with your night staff, quiet methods are selected for sleeping areas, and anything noisier is scheduled for the least sensitive hours and zones. Residents’ routines lead the plan — not the other way round.
Can floors stay in use during the work?
Circulation routes are kept open throughout. We work in sections, and fast-drying methods mean corridors return to service quickly — important when residents move around at night.
What documentation do you provide for CQC?
Method statements before work, and sign-off records after — including PTV results where slip testing is included. Managers typically file them directly into their compliance evidence.
